The Star and the 5,6 & 7 of Air/Swords are the Tarot cards of Aquarius. To honor the trendsetting and individualistic qualities of Aquarius, these cards will be featured along with the other Air/Swords cards at this months
Dancing the Tarot workshop on Feb 11th.
As many of you know I compare and contrast different healing and divining systems for ease of use. Sometimes the meanings line up other times they don’t.
The relationship between the Air Element, to the Air/Heart Chakra and the Air/Swords cards is the biggest stretch of all.
The Air Element is the lightest of the four active elements, making it a transition from the etheric realms. Like the Air/Heart Chakra, it is about compassion and desire and self-acceptance.
The Heart Chakra, is about love and being openhearted, which the Air Element is not. Both do help us to separate our bodies from our spirit.
On the other hand the Air/Swords in Tarot have to do with everything mental, thoughts and communication. The Air/Swords are the most challenging suit, yet are the easiest to change. They are about desire but not love and compassion.
Thoughts come before emotions and the physical body. Perhaps thoughts help us separate our bodies from our spirit? Or maybe we must think self-love before we are loved?
It all gets me thinking and want to dance, the art of the Air Element.
