This past week, I went to the Robert Rauschenberg exhibit at SF MOMA for the 3rd time. Every time it brought me back to my days as a visual artist. Rauschenberg was a major influence of mine even before I was conscious of his work.
The Robert Rauschenberg: Erasing the Rules exhibit also reminded of my connection of the dance world because it was Rauschenberg who created sets for a few choreographers, that lead me to becoming a dance spectator. Dance has also played a roll in me being a body worker. Now I facilitate healing dance workshops. I think I’ve come full circle.
Rauschenberg collaborated with choreographers Merce Cunningham, John Cage, Paul Taylor, Trisha Brown with Judson Dance Theater.
